My work often takes the format of juxtaposed images or image and text. A dialog is constructed between the elements to inform and build upon each other rounding out a narrative of sorts.
The narrative is not literal or sequential as in a story, but more about sensorial shifts and accumulative references as in a walk.
I have long been interested in production/reproduction--interpretation/reinterpretation as a method of image making. My mark making tools are varied- from the haptic, to the mechanical, to the digital, to the textual.
Much of my research lies in the generation of mark and then the reinterpretation, reproduction and recontextualization of it through various media and formats.
I am a printmaker and book artist living in Philadelphia. Recent solo shows include The Meandering, Bright Hill Literary Center, Treadwell NY; Vignettes and Silhouettes, the Lewis Art Gallery, Millsaps College, Jackson MS; Fair Ophelia (a collaboration with Julianna Foster), Vox Populi Gallery, Philadelphia.
